One of the only food pods open late on a Sunday that showed up on Google Maps, walking distance from our hotel. We got there at around 11 p.m. after arriving from the airport. Price is good for a casual, quick, and yummy street food experience. Service is cool. Got the Lamb saj combo with "spicy" sauce which came with fries. Fry portion was generous. Probably not homemade and didn't wow me at first, but their warmth, slightly crunchy outside, and juicy inside grew on me. Saj was delicous. Not "spicy" at all but still tasty with a good ratio of meat, vegetables, and sauce, wrapped in a the and crunchy starch. My partner and I split this for not being starving and it was a good portion for us. Sauce packs were just enough -- not too much, not too little. The menu picture suggested a small side of pickles as well but we didn't receive those. That's ok though. If we had more time in Portland, we'd definitely come back.
Food truck that's open on Sundays. The falafel plate was delicious given six falafels some rice underneath and they side of yogurt and a side of hummus. The salad underneath was crisp, and balanced the richness of the Falafel ball as well. The falafel was probably a bit overdone and a bit too Brown on the outside but otherwise the flavors were really sharp. The rice pilaf could have been a little more tender.
Ahmed hooked it up with the best falafel in all of west Portland! please do yourself a favor and eat here!
Immediately upon opening the bag you can tell this is good food. It smells, looks, and tastes delicious! Portions are generous and service is quick.
I work the graveyard shift, and this food cart is open fairly late. This is one of my favorite food carts in Portland!! They're always so incredibly kind and food is always delicious no matter who is making it. I stopped by during my shift while they were closing (I didn't realize they were closing), and they still made me a lamb gyro. I felt so bad, but they were so incredibly kind and made sure I was fed. Much love to them!!!
